DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Here are the announcements for Tuesday, October 4.

 

Congratulations to the cross country team!  They competed in the Banks of the Wabash tournament last night. The boys won the competition.  Individual places were as follows…

For the boys Kamden Shields placed first; Joel Miller, third; Owen Larson came in seventh; and Keegan Shields in eighth place. For the girls Anesa Veseli placed second and Whitney Swaim came in eighth place.  Great job Wolves!

 

FFA will meet today during sixth grade pack time in room 6.

 

There will be spell bowl practice during eighth grade pack time today in room 8.

 

Scholastic fliers are due back to the office by the end of the day tomorrow. 

 

The student council will be selling shirts as a fundraiser for this year’s service projects.  Order forms and money are to be turned into either the office or Mrs. McAmis and are due by the end of the day Friday, October 7.

 

There will be a call out in the ELC today during your pack time for any boy in grade sixth, seventh, or eighth who is interested in playing basketball.

 

Any student who wants to participate in the Anti-Bully Flier contest, please turn in your completed fliers to Mrs. Roach by Friday, October 7. 

 

Parke Players will be holding auditions for “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” on Monday October 24 and Wednesday, October 26 at 6:30. Auditions will be held at the Ritz Theater in Rockville. 

 

Please check the lost and found table today. Any items left will be discarded. 

 

This week’s Guess Who trivia question is “Who was co-captain of the Roxettes dance team when they won State for the first time?”  If you think you know the answer, please stop by the library for a chance to win!

 

The football team will be heading to North Vermillion tonight for game one of the Banks of the Wabash tournament. Start time is 6:00.

 

There will be no art club Monday morning, April 29.

Starting Tuesday through Thursday of next week, students participating in the Talent Show will have their Preview Day in the ELC. Make sure you check your email for your assigned day.  If you don't remember, check the list outside Miss Stewart's room. 

If you have books checked out from the library that you are no longer reading, please get those returned as soon as possible.

Middle school cheerleading workshops will be held on May 15 and May 16 in the TR Elementary gym.  Both workshops will be from 4:00-5:30.  It is mandatory to come to at least one of the workshops, and highly encouraged to come to both.  Tryouts will be held on May 17 from 4:00-5:30. Times will be assigned.

Sports team pictures will be taken next week.  Golf is scheduled for Monday,

April 29 at 4:00 at the golf course.  Baseball will be taken on May 1 at 3:30 at 

the ball diamond and softball will have pictures on May 2 at 3:30 at the softball diamond.

There will be a Student Council meeting during Advisory this morning in room 13.

Science Club will meet today in Ms. Seitz’s room during eighth grade lunch.

The Science Academic team will meet today during sixth grade Pack Time in Mrs. Roach’s room. 

FFA members who plan on attending the Petting Zoo need to turn their permission slip in to Mrs. Earley by Tuesday, April 30.

Choir students need to report to the band room for rehearsal during period 4 today.

Winter Dance guest forms are available in the office.  Forms must be submitted to Mr. Schulz for approval no later than Wednesday, January 15.  If you have any questions, please see Ms. Seitz.

Next week is homecoming week for Parke Heritage High School.  Join in the Wolf Pack fun and participate in dress up days. Monday is Pajama Day.  Wear your comfy PJs to school!
