DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Here are the daily announcements for Wednesday, September 30.

 

Spell Bowl practice will start today and will be held each Wednesday during Pack Time in Mr. Taylor's room. 

 

NJHS will hold a meeting tomorrow in room 7 during Pack Time. 

 

Stomp Out Bullying week is next week, October 5-9. There will be an anti-bullying poster decorating contest during Pack Time and the winners will get ice cream! There will also be dress up days which will be announced later this week. 

 

The seventh and eighth grade volleyball teams are sponsoring a community service project. They will be taking collections tonight at the home volleyball game.  

 

Seventh and eighth grade boys basketball workouts will be held on October 5 and October 6 from 4:30-5:30.

 

In sports last night our cross country team was back in action at the Fountain Central Invitational. In the boys race, Kam "The Beast" Shields crossed the line in third place. The team finished in fifth for the meet. In the girls race, top 10 finishers for the Wolves were Brooke Mace in seventh place and just one second behind her was Addilee Jenkins crossing the line in eighth.

 

In other action, the football team travelled to North Vermillion and lost a heartbreaker as the Wolves fell 20-16 to the Falcons.

 

Tonight in sports, our Lady Wolves volleyball teams host the Fountain Central Mustangs which is scheduled to start at 6:00. Come on out and support your Wolves!


The Science Academic team will meet today during sixth grade Pack Time in Mrs. Roach’s room. 

FFA members who plan on attending the Petting Zoo need to turn their permission slip in to Mrs. Earley by Tuesday, April 30.

Choir students need to report to the band room for rehearsal during period 4 today.

There will be no art club Monday morning, April 29.

Starting Tuesday through Thursday of next week, students participating in the Talent Show will have their Preview Day in the ELC. Make sure you check your email for your assigned day.  If you don't remember, check the list outside Miss Stewart's room. 

If you have books checked out from the library that you are no longer reading, please get those returned as soon as possible.

Middle school cheerleading workshops will be held on May 15 and May 16 in the TR Elementary gym.  Both workshops will be from 4:00-5:30.  It is mandatory to come to at least one of the workshops, and highly encouraged to come to both.  Tryouts will be held on May 17 from 4:00-5:30. Times will be assigned.

Sports team pictures will be taken next week.  Golf is scheduled for Monday,

April 29 at 4:00 at the golf course.  Baseball will be taken on May 1 at 3:30 at 

the ball diamond and softball will have pictures on May 2 at 3:30 at the softball diamond.

Next week is homecoming week for Parke Heritage High School.  Join in the Wolf Pack fun and participate in dress up days. Monday is Pajama Day.  Wear your comfy PJs to school!
