DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS


Here are the daily announcements for Friday, January 17.

 

The seventh and eighth grade boys basketball teams had a busy week! They hosted Attica, traveled to North Clay, and hosted Covington. They defeated Attica and Covington but fell to two tough North Clay teams. Great job, Wolves! 

 

The sixth grade girls basketball team opened their season by facing the North Putnam Cougars. They lost to a fierce Cougars team. Next week they will be back at it and will host Warren Central on Monday, January 20 at 6:00 p.m. The theme is Hawaiian! Let’s go, Wolves! 

 

Art club will meet today at noon in Mrs. Householder’s room.

 

Middle school students who are in the play, please make sure to check your email about the plan for Monday’s rehearsal.  

 

Team and individual photos for seventh and eighth cheer and dance will be taken on Tuesday, January 21. Cheer will start at 3:45 and dance at 4:15. Order forms are in the office. Families are encouraged to order online at the Pettit Photography website. https://vando.imagequix.com/S9A3Z9Z

If you are interested in participating in the Turkey Run Area Youth Baseball and Softball program, forms are in the office. This is for sixth graders who are 12 years old or younger as of December 31, 2024. Forms are due with payment by January 29, and can be mailed to the address on the form or brought back to the school. Late forms will not be accepted.

 

School will be in session on Monday, January 20.

 

The answer to this week’s riddle is “the letter M.” This week’s winner is Nolan Bridge.


Starting Tuesday through Thursday of next week, students participating in the Talent Show will have their Preview Day in the ELC. Make sure you check your email for your assigned day.  If you don't remember, check the list outside Miss Stewart's room. 

If you have books checked out from the library that you are no longer reading, please get those returned as soon as possible.

Middle school cheerleading workshops will be held on May 15 and May 16 in the TR Elementary gym.  Both workshops will be from 4:00-5:30.  It is mandatory to come to at least one of the workshops, and highly encouraged to come to both.  Tryouts will be held on May 17 from 4:00-5:30. Times will be assigned.

Sports team pictures will be taken next week.  Golf is scheduled for Monday,

April 29 at 4:00 at the golf course.  Baseball will be taken on May 1 at 3:30 at 

the ball diamond and softball will have pictures on May 2 at 3:30 at the softball diamond.

FCA will meet this morning during Advisory in the ELC.

There will be a Student Council meeting during Advisory this morning in room 13.

Science Club will meet today in Ms. Seitz’s room during eighth grade lunch.

The Science Academic team will meet today during sixth grade Pack Time in Mrs. Roach’s room. 

FFA members who plan on attending the Petting Zoo need to turn their permission slip in to Mrs. Earley by Tuesday, April 30.

Choir students need to report to the band room for rehearsal during period 4 today.

There will be no art club Monday morning, April 29.

Winter Dance guest forms are available in the office.  Forms must be submitted to Mr. Schulz for approval no later than Wednesday, January 15.  If you have any questions, please see Ms. Seitz.

Next week is homecoming week for Parke Heritage High School.  Join in the Wolf Pack fun and participate in dress up days. Monday is Pajama Day.  Wear your comfy PJs to school!
