Students in Mrs. Anna Lorenze’s first semester Reading and Literature classes were finally able to go on their field trip to the CANDLES Museum. Due to the snow storms in December, the trip had to be postponed.

The classes read “Number the Stars” and “Prisoner B-3087, both historical fiction novels about the Holocaust in class.  When they were done reading the books, students completed a final project over the Holocaust.

The visit to the CANDLES Museum was a chance to see many displays on life during the Holocaust. The group then had lunch at Monical’s.
“The students represented PHMS very well, the museum even commented on what a great, well behaved group of kids they were,” said Mrs. Lorenze.
