Here are the announcements for Wednesday, September 17:
There will be a yearbook call out TODAY in Mrs. Blake’s room with her and Mrs. Myers if you are interested in learning more about taking sports pictures or working on the yearbook.
There will be a robotics meeting in the ELC at lunch and lunch ball today. There will be no study tables.
Anyone interested in participating in Spell Bowl can sign up outside Mrs. Myers’ classroom by this Friday.
Congratulations to the cross country team at the Riverton Parke meet. The girls team won with top finishers. Cobie McCrory- seventh, Riley Okerson- third and Maiya McLaughlin- first. The boys team also won with top finishers Cruz Busenbark- sixth, Nolan Bridge- third, Brenton Hart- second and Evan Montgomery- first. A shout out to Nolan Bridge for helping teammate Brenton when he fell during the race.
FCA will meet tomorrow, Thursday, September 18, in Mrs. McCrory’s room.
The library will be closed at 11:30 today.
Cross country will practice at the High school today. Make sure to ride the shuttle.
This week’s spotlight is on Mrs. Games and Mrs. McAmis. Mrs. Games is a seventh grade language arts teacher at Parke Heritage Middle School. She has been teaching for five years. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, gardening, reading, and spending time with family. Her favorite quote is “Sometimes the light in you frustrates the demons in others. Nevertheless, keep shining.” She attended college at ISU. Thank you for all you do, Mrs. Games!
